Elevating Beauty Aisles: Our Journey with Morrisons

eXPD8 beauty assists industry retailers and brands in the beauty industry maximise revenue and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through consistently achieving flawless, efficient and cost-effective execution first time, every time. We place a premium on attention to detail, and our primary goal is to become the preferred provider of retail support services in the beauty sector – so when Morrisons approached us regarding our eXPD8 Beauty services, we were eager to showcase our expertise. We were thrilled to begin managing the Cosmetics Merchandising contract in their stores starting in early April this year.

The Initial Challenges

The first four weeks were particularly demanding for everyone involved. Our Beauty Merchandisers faced an arduous task of reconfiguring the Cosmetics Fixtures according to the Planogram, sorting through extensive historical backstock, and reporting initial issues. Challenges ranged from broken parts and missing point-of-sale materials to a general shortage of stock availability. This was a challenge, but our colleagues adeptly rose to meet it with excellence and professionalism.

Preparation and Training

Anticipating the complexity of these visits, we ensured our Merchandisers were thoroughly prepared. Collaborating with eXPD8’s Learning & Development team, we developed a comprehensive training module and video. This preparation ensured that our field team understood the store operations and ordering systems prior to commencing their weekly visits.

Progress and Achievements

After eleven weeks in store, we have fully acclimated to the fixtures. Our exceptional Merchandisers have already facilitated successful range changes for Maybelline and Rimmel, with additional updates planned for September. We have gained valuable insights from these visits, leading to continuous improvements in both availability and fixture appearance.

Ongoing Collaboration

Working closely with the Morrisons Cosmetics team has enabled us to swiftly address and report problems, providing daily support and information to the field. This includes weekly updates to the Briefs and Questions, daily sharing of in-store experiences and feedback, and immediate investigation of stock availability issues as they arise.

Looking Ahead

Looking ahead, we are committed to assisting Morrisons in enhancing sales performance, stock distribution, and fixture updates seamlessly. The entire eXPD8 Beauty team is enthusiastic about the future plans of Morrisons and the Brands in the coming months. We are excited to see what new developments and improvements lie ahead and look forward to continuing our successful partnership.
